God is the calm in the midst of our storms.

We each have a journey towards healing. Our story towards healing is one of the greatest gifts we can give to another person. What an amazing gift to give!!

When we look at David’s life in the Bible, we see sin. We also see humility, worship, trust, hope, repentance, strength, and love. David exemplified a life of trust in the goodness and mercy of God, no matter what he was going through...time after time in the scriptures...he continued to cry out to God. Stories like Davids remind us that it’s not how we start life that matters but how we finish it.

How are you living life through the tough times?

When you can’t see down the next path and there seems to be no hope even on the horizon...WORSHIP GOD. All day long God is worthy of our worship and He is our destination. Life is going to bring us many situations where nothing at all makes sense. When we face these times, we thank God for who he is in our lives and how much he unconditionally loves us.

He watches over us! He is our shield! He is our defender! He is our healer! Hr is our provider! He is our sustainer!

He is the one who holds our hand, guides our feet and keeps reminding us that we don’t have to hide our face and run. No matter how things look each day, and no matter what we feel in these moments, God is in control and will always be in control of our moments, our days, our weeks and our years. Our stories do make a difference to others. They make a difference for the good and they can make a difference for the bad. We will all have parts of our story...just like David...where we aren’t always doing what’s right. However, continuing to turn our heart back to God, running into His arms, trusting His path, giving him the glory for our victories and humbly falling on our knees...These are the stories that bring a tremendous gift into one another’s lives.

How do you worship God through different seasons of your life? How is He calling you to write a new chapter? How have you found ways to love God, know God and find God? God is the calm in the midst of our storms.

Psalm 63:1-3 O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
